Meeting Ecole des Sables & P.A.R.T.S
From December 27th, 2012 to Febrauary 23rd, 2013
For the first time, the Ecole des Sables will work together with the professional dance school P.A.R.T.S in Bruxelles to organize an exchange and discovery project between 15 students from the « Performing Arts Research and Training Studios », directed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and a selection of 15 dancers from all over Africa. A Unique artistic and cultural meeting.

Professional workshop designed for dancers of the African continent "A CORPS ACCORDS"
From March 25th to June 1st, 2013

This 14th professional workshop will enable about forty young dancers and choreographers from Africa to work on the tremendous richness of the traditional dances and study various contemporary dances techniques, particularly improvisation and contact dance. The theme A corps accords intends to put accent on the importance of the body in the relation to the other,either by touch (contact work) or by work oneself and the space. To tune the body is to make it available to the required effort, emotional or physical.

Transmission Workshop with Germaine ACOGNY
From March 25th to May 11th, 2013
The specificity of this workshop is to improve for the participants the contemporary dance technique developed by the choreographer Germaine Acogny so that they can use it within their educational work in their country and open up and develop their own chorographic language. This workshop also offers them the opportunity to deepen their technical knowledge and work and exchange with other dancers from Africa and Europe.
After this third phase of the second TRANSMISSION session, the participants will receive their diploma and be allowed to teach the Germaine Acogny Technique all over the world.

International Professional workshop in African Dances, "Criss-crossing traces"
From July 17th to August 27th, 2013

This new workshop open to dancers from all over the world proposes to discover the richness, variety, complexity and energy of the traditional and contemporary dances of Africa. It will enable again professional dancers from all horizons to meet, exchange and broaden their network in order to enrich future chorographic creation.
Teachers are:
Serge Aimé Coulibaly, Régine chopinot, Saky Tchebe Bertrand, Ramatoulaye Sarr, Ise Verstegen, Germaine Acogny et Patrick Acogny.
